4 ways to feel more peaceful when life is busy

Homeopathy, London, busy, work-life balance

Too much to do. Not enough time. Too many interruptions.

You know the feeling.

You just want everyone to go away so you can have some peace and quiet, right?

I live in a small apartment with my husband, teenage daughter and young son. We also have a cat and a dog.

Things are always hectic around here and being self-employed I always have a long list of things to do. I often wish I had my own office/personal assistant. Etc.

Anyway, life just always seems to be busy. There are different ways to keep it simple, but sometimes there’s a lot to do and we just have to get on with it.

Maybe you know that feeling?

Here are 4 ways that help me feel peaceful when life is busy.

I hope there’s something to help you too.

1. Drink a glass of water

Such a simple thing to do, and it helps immediately.

Taking a minute to rehydrate will helps you think more clearly.

2. Step outside

A breath of fresh air is calming and refreshing at the same time.

A walk around the block, the park, or even just to the shops or the post office will give you a few minutes to recharge and refocus.

3. Listen to music

Music is a powerful tool. It can energise, uplift, inspire, calm.

If you use iTunes, select one song you’d like to hear and ask Genius to make a playlist. It just takes a moment. Or go to Spotify and search for a calming or relaxing playlist. Try searching ‘music for concentration’ when you need to focus.

4. Tidy up

Decluttering is amazing for clearing the mind. When you have so many things to do that you don’t know where to start, take ten minutes to tidy up and throw things away. Sweeping or hoovering the floor feels like a hassle but it makes such a difference.

Simple things can make a big difference. I hope you find something here that can make a busy day a little more peaceful.

Homeopathy is a simple thing that can make a big difference too.

Make a little time in your busy life to focus on yourself and find out for yourself how you can have less stress, better sleep, more focus, more energy and, ultimately, more peace.
