There isn’t a day goes by without me feeling lucky to be a mum.

It’s almost 19 years since my daughter Eva was born. This is my favourite portrait of us from when she was a baby.

It was taken on October 28th, 1999 at the Museum of Modern Art, New York.

October 15th is International Pregnancy and Infant Loss and Awareness Day.

Hormone wisdom in a nutshell

It was my first ever Hormone Wisdom workshop this week, and it was a lot of fun.

From 10 years in homeopathy practice, I know there are a surprising number of ways that hormonal imbalance can show up for your average woman.

Painful periods is one.

Heavy periods is another.

Early menopause is something else.

That’s before you even get into the bigger issues of PCOS and fertility, and I can’t remember the last time I met a woman who didn’t have some form of PMS.

Bugs or chemicals? | Why I choose organic and why you should too

I recently heard a respected colleague state that organic food is the foundation for a clean diet. This got me thinking about my own views on organic food and my experience as an allotment gardener.

I grew up in a family of gardeners.

My grandfather always had a splendid vegetable patch and his green house was overflowing with tomatoes and cucumbers.

Every summer we ate home-grown runner beans, sweet corn and potatoes but it never once crossed my mind that I would be a vegetable grower myself one day, let alone an organic one.
