When I came out of the bedroom after getting dressed the other morning, my little boy looked at me and said,

“Why are you wearing your black top again mum? I like it when you wear your dark blue dress with the flowers on.”

I realised that I miss my summer dresses too. I’m not ready to come out of hibernation yet, but I know that summer will come around more quickly than I think.

It might only be January but we’re heading towards spring. The next thing we know it’ll be summer and I’ll want to get my legs out!
I need a plan!

There isn’t a day goes by without me feeling lucky to be a mum.

It’s almost 19 years since my daughter Eva was born. This is my favourite portrait of us from when she was a baby.

It was taken on October 28th, 1999 at the Museum of Modern Art, New York.

October 15th is International Pregnancy and Infant Loss and Awareness Day.

Hormone wisdom in a nutshell

It was my first ever Hormone Wisdom workshop this week, and it was a lot of fun.

From 10 years in homeopathy practice, I know there are a surprising number of ways that hormonal imbalance can show up for your average woman.

Painful periods is one.

Heavy periods is another.

Early menopause is something else.

That’s before you even get into the bigger issues of PCOS and fertility, and I can’t remember the last time I met a woman who didn’t have some form of PMS.
