I’m practicing doing one thing at a time.

I suppose you could call it ‘single-tasking’. The opposite of ‘multi-tasking’.

I feel like I have spent most of my life multi-tasking, but nowadays I’m trying hard not to.

Sometimes multitasking is not only unavoidable but also kind of necessary, but mostly it isn’t.

To be honest, the main kind of multi-tasking I try to avoid these days generally involves not looking at my phone.

The gift of circadian rhythms

Homeopathy, London, summer, circadian rhythms, sleep, pineal glandOne thing I love about June is roses in bloom. I have been in Malmö, Sweden this week, and I saw these beautiful yellow roses outside this apartment building. So beautiful.

Malmö is quite a bit further north than London so the days are much longer. The last few evenings I sat with my friend on her balcony, enjoying wine and good food as the sun went down.

Once it was dark, we both found we naturally wanted to turn in for sleep.

Instead of pushing ourselves to stay up later, we just caved in!

A Snow Day

Snow, Bethnal Green, London, HomeopathyThe snow was the reason I woke up late today. When I opened my eyes I saw that it was almost 9am.

Wilf opened the door,

“Mum, it’s snowing!”

I looked out of the window to see, but I’d already guessed. It was so quiet. It’s always quiet where we are, but it was even quieter today. That’s how I knew there was snow.

There are just two weeks left until it’s Christmas. My aim is always to keep Sundays simple, but it’s always easier said than done. I had a long list of things to do today, but everything was pushed back while we came up with a plan.
